back to basics - I'm going to do a v simple midi song next to get to grips with ProLogic's MIDI functionalidy

I'm now trying to set up LogicPro to record the stereo output of the Rickenbacker 4003 bass - this will be convereted to MIDI through the sonuus i2M musicport

initial steps for the song with Logic's beat mapping

I am "beat mapping" (syncing a song's tempo with the bar/beat locators) for the 1st 2 bars of an old recording I did in 1995 .  LogicPro is tremendous software.  80's studio/recording equipment was nearly 0/10 in comparison

The track I am "beat mapping" as an input to my song, was recorded without a metronome (a good thing) , and is taken from a C90 audio cassette - tempo moves around with this analogue recording - I don't want to lose the feel of this original - so let's see
